Get clearance from your primary care provider if you are 45 or older or have active health conditions.
Obtain cardiac clearance if you have a pre-existing heart condition. Complete CBC, BMP, PT/PTT labs within 30 days before surgery. Sign all required pre-op forms electronically (you’ll receive these by email).
Arrange for a brace if required after your procedure.
Expect a pre-op call 7–10 days before surgery. If unavailable, instructions will be emailed.
Stop NSAIDs (ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, aspirin, Mobic, etc.) 2 weeks before surgery unless instructed otherwise.
Pick up post-operative medications from your pharmacy prior to surgery; bring them with you if traveling from out of town.
Schedule your post-op appointment 1 week after surgery.
Arrange optional items, like an ice machine, if recommended.
Book travel and lodging in advance if coming from out of town.
