Joint Pain Relief
1. Virtual Consultation
- Your journey begins with a thorough assessment. Out-of-town patients can start with a virtual consultation to review medical history, discuss symptoms, and determine if Nervexa™ is right for you.
2. In-Person Evaluation
- Meet with our team for a thorough, in-person evaluation. You can ask questions, discuss your concerns, and get a clear understanding of what to expect from the treatment.
3. Nerve Stimulator Trial
- The first in-clinic procedure is a minor, outpatient trial. A small catheter is placed to create a temporary electromagnetic field, testing how your nerves respond. After the trial, the leads are removed.
4. Musculoskeletal Embolization
- After trial lead removal we conduct another minor procedure called Musculoskeletal Embolization. This targets inflammation at the joint level, interrupting the cycle of swelling and pain. This step is also outpatient and does not require major surgery.
5. Nerve Transfer and Permanent Stimulator Surgery
- The main procedure is minimally invasive and takes about 45 minutes. Pain-transmitting nerves are rerouted into nearby muscles, and a permanent stimulator is implanted for lasting relief. Patients typically return home the same day.
